Jack Abugov's house was included in the 1965 Allied Arts Centre House Tour. It was located two doors down from his partner Maurice Sunderland (see here).

Jack Abugov (1925-2008) was born in Cornwall, Ontario on 7 May 1925. In 1943 he served in the RCAF and after receiving his wings was discharged. He then enrolled at McGill University where in 1949 he graduated Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Sometime in the 1950s Abugov moved to Calgary and in July 1956 he formed a partnership with Maurice Sunderland called Abugov and Sunderland. Throughout the 1960s the firm designed several notable buildings in Calgary and Edmonton. Abugov and Sunderland disbanded around 1982.


In 1948 Abugov married Doreen Cohen. They had three children: Murray, Bruce, and Marilyn. Bruce Abugov is one of the principals in the firm Abugov Kaspar. Jack Abugov died on 17 April 2008 in Calgary.
