Hymie Steinberg (1905–1967) was born in Ratne in 1905. He came to Canada in 1931 and settled in Calgary in 1935. Steinberg was the president of Steinberg's Furniture.

He was married to Sarah Steinberg (1907–1971), with whom he had two sons, William and Norman. He died on 7 October 1967.
